Nokias new X-series is an extension of the XpressMusic phones. in terms of multimedia, the phone packs a good set of features. Nokia has OVI-software to manage and download music content. The Nokia X6 features Comes With Music, , which allows you to down unlimited music for the 12 month period. The Nokia Store has every kind of desirable music, and the downloading and managing is simple and fast. It also gives you access to corresponding track information and CD cover with files.
The Nokia X6 smartphone has an integrated digital camera with a 5.0 megapixels resolution and a Carl Zeiss lens. The application can be started by holding down the quick access key on the right side of the phone, or via the menu by choosing camera. The Nokia X6 also has a TV out and an inbuilt photo editor. There is also a sliding button on the right side of the Nokia X6 to lock the keypad, which allows for Nokia X6s keypad to be easily unlocked as well. The application boots up relatively quickly; and you can start image/video capture in less than two seconds.
The phone can be used as a navigation system with the integrated GPS antenna and the installed OVI-cards. Previously, this was only possible with a license that was included only for a couple of days, but the Nokia X6 now comes with the OVI-cards with full GPS navigation for free.
The Nokia X6 is powered by a 3.7 V 1320 mAh Lithium Ion battery of BL-5J type. According to the specifications, this battery should have a maximum stand-by time of 406 hours and a maximum talk-time of 8 hours. The phone also supports fast HSDPA connectivity
The Nokia X6's screen may not be huge, but it's certainly bright. Images and videos look great on the glossy screen; it also features a light sensor which auto adjusts the screen's brightness depending on your environment. The handset features a playlist DJ that lets you customize four sliders, representing happiness, love, anger and tranquility.
The handset is highly accurate when it comes to fingertip commands, but it lacks the pinch to zoom functionality. The X6 syncs seamlessly with Windows Media Player, and allows direct transferring of Div X files without needing to view the phone's folder structure manually, the same goes for music.
The Nokia X6 16 GB version also gives you unlimited access to tunes for a year through the Comes with Music, you can either connect to a PC and transfer tracks over, or switch to 3G and Wi-Fi to download them directly to the phone.
