HTC's latest smartphone offering is sensational in every sense of the term and that includes its name as well. The HTC Sensation, earlier called the Pyramid, packs quite a punch with its impressive specs. Running on Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread), the Sensation takes the crown of the most powerful Android device from HTC thus far. Under the hood is the powerful 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8660 processor, while the graphics part is taken care of by an Adreno 220 GPU. The HTC handset loads 768 MB of RAM that together with the CPU renders the phone superb multi-tasking capabilities.

The screen of the HTC Sensation sports a 4.3-inch SLCD display having resolution of 540 x 960 pixels (qHD resolution). HTC has layered the Android skin with its own Sense v3 UI that brings into the handset numerous interesting features like instant camera capture, richer Internet experience, active lockscreen and many others.

The lockscreen is packed with four app shortcuts that you can customize as per your wish and push to the activation ring. HTC ships out the Sensation with 1 GB internal memory. Compatible with the microSD 2.0 cards, the phones memory can be expanded up to 32 GB externally. A standard Li-Ion battery powers the smartphone with capacity of 1520 mAh. The talk time served by the battery is 4 hours while the standby time is 120 hours.

Connectivity and Features
Internet access on the HTC Sensation is possible through GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi and 3G. Other connectivity features of the phone include Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0 that also allows HDMI connection and a 3.5 mm stereo audio jack. You can view images and videos on the big screen wirelessly courtesy the DLNA function of the handset.
